The cartoonist Edward Steed, originally from the U.K., now lives in Rockaway Beach, Queens, just a short walk from the ocean. “Nothing captures the natural world’s mixture of beauty, danger, and weirdness better than a swarm of jellyfish,” Steed said. “But be careful: smiling jellyfish may not be as friendly as they look.”
漫画家爱德华·斯蒂德来自英国，现居皇后区的洛克威海滩，离海边不过几步之遥。“没有什么比一群水母更能捕捉自然界的复杂气质——美、危险与诡异交织在一起，”斯蒂德说，“但得小心：那些笑眯眯的水母，未必像看上去那么友善。”
