For the cover of the November 9, 2026, issue, the artist Carter Goodrich gathered falling leaves to dress up a high-fashion creature. “Autumn seemed like a great opportunity to use leaves as feathers or fur in an imagined outfit,” Goodrich said. “I’m hoping it hasn’t been done before—and that real fashion designers might approve.”
